Beyond Websites: How Tautges Marketing Builds Websites for Local Growth
How a German Agency Is Using Wix, SEO, and Videography for Regional Success
11/27/25, 10:21 PM
Well, thank you so much for sitting with us today and sharing a bit of your story. To kick things off, can you tell us a little about yourself, your company, and the services you offer?
Thank you so much for having us — we’re excited to introduce Tautges Marketing to your audience. We are a modern digital agency based in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, specializing in website development, videography and search engine optimization with a strong focus on regional GEO visibility.

Our work usually begins with the website, because it is the core of every digital presence. We create websites that are not only visually appealing, but also technically optimized, user-friendly, and strategically built for search performance. Especially in the field of local SEO, we help businesses become more visible in their region — whether through Google Search, Maps listings or location-based keyword strategies.

Videography forms the second major pillar of our agency. We strongly believe in visual storytelling, because video communicates emotion and authenticity faster than text alone. With image films, product videos, social media content, and employer-branding productions, we help businesses show who they are and why they matter.

This becomes especially valuable in recruiting and talent acquisition. Many companies struggle to find qualified staff — we support them with dedicated career websites, targeted video recruitment campaigns and content that truly resonates with applicants.

What sets Tautges Marketing apart is our deep engagement with artificial intelligence. We actively work with AI-based tools and integrate them into our workflows — for content creation, analytics, automation and website optimization. Not to replace creative work, but to enhance it. AI enables us to deliver faster, more efficiently and with stronger results for our clients.

Most of the companies we support are located within Rhineland-Palatinate, and we deeply value that regional connection. It allows us to work closely with our clients, understand local markets and develop projects collaboratively — not as a supplier, but as a partner.

In short, Tautges Marketing stands for visibility, creativity and forward-thinking digital solutions. We help businesses not just exist online — but stand out.
We’d love to hear your Wix “origin story.” When did you start building, what made you stick with it, and in what ways have your offers changed from that first site to what you do now?
Sure — we’d love to share that story.

We built our very first Wix site many years ago, long before Tautges Marketing existed as an agency. Back then, it started with curiosity rather than a business plan — we just loved the idea of creating something digital, something that people could visit, interact with and experience. Our first website wasn’t fancy, but it was the moment we realized how powerful a well-built online presence could be.

What made us stick with Wix was how accessible it was for both creators and clients. It allowed us to experiment, learn quickly and turn ideas into real websites without long development cycles. The more projects we took on, the more we understood how much value we could bring when design, strategy and storytelling come together in one place.

Over time, that simple beginning evolved into what Tautges Marketing is today — a full digital agency with a strong focus on professional websites, videography and search visibility. What once was “just building sites” has grown into a much broader skill set: local SEO, GEO-optimized visibility for businesses in Rhineland-Palatinate, talent acquisition through recruiting websites and video campaigns, and the integration of AI-enhanced workflows to move faster and deliver better results.

Looking back at our first project and comparing it to what we do now, the evolution feels huge — and exciting. We’ve gone from building basic sites to creating complete digital identities with visual storytelling, search-focused strategy and technology-driven performance.

And that early spark — the joy of building something online that helps a business grow — is still the reason we do it today.
What makes your services different from other builders? And what do you tell people who still think Wix is only for beginners or simple sites?
What truly sets us apart is our approach. We don’t use Wix as a simple drag-and-drop tool — we treat it as a professional development environment. A lot of people still assume Wix is only for basic websites or quick DIY solutions, and that’s exactly where our work begins. We show clients how powerful the platform becomes when design, structure, storytelling and SEO come together strategically.

A website, for us, is never just a template to fill. It’s a digital experience that guides users, communicates value and convinces them to take action. We build custom layouts, optimize performance, implement clear page architecture, integrate videography for emotional impact and make sure businesses are found locally — especially here in Rhineland-Palatinate, where regional visibility often makes the difference.

Compared to traditional page builders or DIY approaches, we go much deeper because we think in terms of marketing — not just design. We develop content structures, apply GEO-optimized keyword strategies, create recruiting websites and talent campaigns, and use AI tools to streamline analysis, improve website structure and enhance video production.

At the end of the day, our goal isn’t to “build websites.”

Our goal is to create results — more visibility, more applicants, more inquiries, more growth.

That’s why Wix works so well for us. When used professionally, it isn’t limiting — it’s a platform full of possibility.

Walk us through the types of services you provide. Could you highlight a project or two that stand out, and what you learned from the experience?
Absolutely — our services have become very clear over time. Today, we focus primarily on professional websites, videography and regional SEO visibility. We also support companies in recruitment marketing, helping them position themselves as attractive employers and generate qualified applications through digital content.

Two projects stand out in particular:

1. A complete website rebuild for a regional mid-sized business - This wasn’t just about design — it was about structure, clarity and visibility. We redesigned the site with strong UX, reduced content to what really matters, and integrated GEO-focused SEO. The outcome was more than just a new website — it led to a noticeable increase in local inquiries. That project clearly showed us how powerful the combination of design and strategy can be when they are built together from the start.

2. A recruitment video campaign for a skilled trades company - Here, authenticity was key. Instead of a polished corporate film, we focused on real people, real voices and real work environments. The video was used in social media ads and generated qualified applicants within weeks — something the company had struggled with for a long time.

What did these projects teach us?

That tools and platforms are only part of the equation. The real results come from combining story, visual identity, SEO structure, videography and an understanding of human behavior. And that’s our mindset in every project — to create outcomes you don’t just see, but feel.
Tell us about your niche — or lack of one! Do you love working across many industries or honing your craft in one specific area? And why does that approach work for you?
We wouldn’t say we are tied to one single industry — and that is actually one of our strengths. Our niche isn’t a sector, it’s a way of working: modern websites, strong visual storytelling through video, and local SEO that makes businesses visible within their region. Whether we are building a site for a service provider, a trades business or a regional brand — the foundation stays the same: clarity, usability and communication that feels human.

We enjoy working across different industries because every project teaches us something new. A recruiting campaign for a craftsman requires a different tone than a website for a consulting company — and that variety keeps our work sharp, creative and empathetic. It helps us understand people, not just markets.

Over time, we have developed particularly strong experience in projects where visibility and talent acquisition play a major role. Companies in Rhineland-Palatinate often face the challenge of reaching new customers and new employees — and that’s exactly where our mix of web design, video, SEO and AI-supported processes makes a real impact.

So while we are flexible in industry, our niche is defined by our approach: we build digital presence that attracts attention, builds trust and drives results — no matter the field.
This has been incredibly insightful. What three tips would you give someone trying to improve their Wix site, and how can our audience get in touch with you?
Absolutely — if we could share three tips for improving a Wix website, these would be our top takeaways:

1. Clarity before design - A website only works if users understand it instantly. Before thinking about colors or animations, focus on structure, messaging and user flow. Good visuals are powerful — but only when built on clarity.

2. Use video to build trust - People connect with people, not just with brands. A short introduction video or real employee voices can completely change how a business feels online. Video adds emotion, credibility and a sense of authenticity that static pages can’t achieve alone.

3. Don’t skip SEO — especially local SEO - A beautiful website is great, but visibility is what makes it valuable. GEO-focused keywords, Google Business optimization, strong loading speed and clear content are crucial, particularly for regional businesses like those in Rhineland-Palatinate.

If anyone wants to learn more, talk about a project or explore how we can help, you can find us under Tautges Marketing — via our website, social media or email. We’re always happy to connect and build something impactful together.

Thank you for this great conversation — we enjoyed sharing our journey and experience.
